RACHEL FATTAL competes in her 3rd Olympics
Good Luck to Seal Beach Swim Club’s Olympians, RACHEL FATTAL and RYDER & CHASE DODD!
Rachel Fattal will be representing Team USA in Women’s Water Polo at the 2024 Paris Olympics! She will be going for her 3rd GOLD MEDAL! Mark your calendars; starting on Saturday, June 27, Rachel and Team USA will be playing against Greece in their opener in Paris.
Rachel began her swimming career with Seal Beach Swim Club as a five year old at the McGaugh pool. She became a Junior Olympic swimmer as well as a team record holder! Rachel has always been a fierce competitor and a well-rounded athlete. She was a four year varsity stand out in swimming, water polo and volleyball at Los Alamitos High School. She went on to represent the UCLA Bruins as well as Team USA at the Olympics in 2016 & 2020. Rachel has played an instrumental role in the tremendous success of the Women’s USA Water Polo Team over the last 10 years. She is typically the “sprinter” so watch for her at the beginning of each quarter. She is fast, agile and a true force in the pool. Many of our swimmers have seen Rachel on the pool deck as Team USA practices at the base pool. Rachel still attends swimming workouts with Coach Patti’s Senior Group to keep in top shape. She is a remarkable athlete and a terrific person that everyone at SEAL can be proud of! Keep an eye on the stands for Maria Fattal, our Team Manager, who will be cheering on her daughter.
Seal Beach Swim Club will also be represented on the USA Men’s Water Polo Team by Chase and Ryder Dodd, former SEAL swimmers. Just like Rachel, Chase and Ryder started swimming with SEAL at age 6 and quickly started to rack up SEAL age group records. Both were also outstanding athletes and the Dodd Family, like the Fattal family, have been wonderful and loyal Seal Beach Swim Club supporters.
